Biographical Notes: Mr. Madigan is the managing partner and a shareholder in the firm of Madigan, Dahl & Harlan, P.A. He has experience since 1981 in the above referenced practice areas. Mr. Madigan graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 1981, where he served as an Editor of the William Mitchell Law Review and later as an Adjunct Professor. Mr. Madigan is licensed to practice before Minnesota and Wisconsin State Courts, U.S. District Court, U.S. Court of Appeals, for the Eighth and Ninth Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He serves as an Arbitrator on the American Arbitration Associations' Complex Commercial Panel. Mr. Madigan has been recognized as a "Super Lawyer" by the Minnesota Journal of Law and Politics and by the American Research Corporation. Mr. Madigan also served from 1999-2006 as a City Council Member of Woodbury, Minnesota, an east metro community which ranked number one on Money Magazine's recent list of the most desirable places to live in the Central United States for cities under 100,000 in population.

Since 1981, Mr. Madigan has been continuously active in commercial law and litigation, focusing on business, construction, environmental, franchise, and liquor law. As an example of his experience, he was recently part of a litigation team that submitted an Amicus Brief to the United States Supreme Court on behalf of the National Beer Wholesalers Association in Heald v. Engler and successfully tried to a jury the seminal beer franchise case in Minnesota. See Crowley Beverage Co. v. Miller Brewing Co., 862 F.2d 688 (8th Cir.1988). He has tried, arbitrated, and mediated scores of cases on behalf of business clients in the construction, manufacturing (outdoor recreational vehicles), wholesaling, and other industries.
